Yoshino's Adventure into Darkness

Yoshino, the sweet and shy little girl, skipped down a path in her peaceful little village. Her Whismur hugged tightly onto her head underneath her hood and peeked out. "Odayaka. How are you feeling today!?" Odayaka, her whismur had caught a strange sickness but had finally recovered today.
"Wh...whismur." She muttered and smiled. Yoshino was happy to hear this and skipped along to the edge of the town.
"Hey! Yoshino are you sure you want to leave? I heard rumors of bad things going on out there. Pokemon attacking for no reason and all..." Her father ran up and asked her quickly.
"Well!! She is a big girl! You said so yourself. And if she wasn't sure then why the hell would she be doing this!?" Yoshinon cracked out.
"O..ok. You be careful!"
"Alright father." She smiled and spoke softly. She then skipped off, away from the town.
"Hey... Yoshino. You do realize some bad stuff really is going on out there. As long as I'm around then you will be safe. Don't worry." Yoshinon laughed out as she walked down the stairs. odayaka hid inside Yoshino's hood and whimpered.
"What could be bothering the poor thing that badly? Was it Yoshinon's comment or... something else?!" Yoshino had a worried expression and slowed down.
"Y.. Yoshino? Why are you slowing down! We need to go go GO!!!" Yoshinon was worried.
"Because... Yoshinon... Odayaka is scared of something.."

Suddenly a Poochyena came out of some bushes, the small gray wolf starred Yoshino in the eyes for a few minutes as if scared of something. Its 'deer in a headlight' act was abruptly ended as the small fang Pokemons body began to violently shake, the small body fell to the floor, limp. Its eyes starred blankly at nothingness, its head in the abyss.

Yoshino let out a shriek but covered her mouth and breathed heavily. Her eyes filled with tears at what she was witnessing. "I... I ... Y... Yoshinon DO SOMETHING!!!" She could barely speak. Yoshinon stayed silent. She began to panic but had an idea. She carefully picked up the poochyena still crying. "Wh... what the hell? What's happening?!?" She held it closs to her not knowing what to do and sat there crying.

the Poochyenas eyes seemed to come into focus on something in the clouds before it started barking crazily, a wild anger dancing in its eyes. The small dog like Pokemon began to squirm and wiggle trying to get freed of its captor, his teeth wildly flying in all directions.

Yoshino shrieked again and halfway threw the pokemon. "Wh...What's going on?!?!" She jumped up.
"Odayaka! Body salm!" Yoshinon ordered as he thought quicker than Yoshino when in danger. The timid whismur nodded shakily then jumped up to land on poochyena with all her weight.

--- Poochyena level 9 ---
The now crazed looking beast fidgited for a moment, keeping a close eye on the Whismur. He dodged to the side as Whismur fell before turning around and charging his opponent with full speed.
--- Poochy used Tackle ---

"Odayaka.... uproar..." Yoshino mumured immediately. Some how the whismur could hear her perfectly and began to yell and scream at the top of its lung.
"Nice job Yoshino... you sure it will work?" Yoshinon laughed out
"H..hey who's side are you on!?"

The Poochyena seemed to stop dead in its tracksm thrashing his head around wildly. He did a something that seemed like a jig, ending in smacking himself in the head. He looked back at the target, charging at the small Whismer yet again.
--- Poochyena used tackle. ---

"See Yoshino that wasn't going to be enough." Yoshinon pointed at the Whismur.
"Sh...Shut up Yoshinon!" Odayaka fell back from the tackle. "O...Odayaka!!"
"Use pound while it's right there near you! Halfwit!!!" Yoshinon yelled.
"HEY!!! THAT'S NOT NICE!!!!" She glared at her rabbit puppet. The whismur quickly tried to smack the the Poochyena's face.

The poochyena didn't have time to react to the fast moving paw of Whismur. As it connected the small dog seemed to pull back, maybe even whimpering, as if some hint of saneness was breaking out. The Poochyena quickly turned around, 180 degrees and began kicking his feet up wildly, throwing sand and dirt at the Whismurs face.
--- Poochyena used Sand Attack! ---

"Odayaka turn around to shield your eyes and use uproar!" Yoshinon commanded. The whismur spun around with it's back facing Poochyena and began to scream.

The Fang Pokemon staggered backwards, obviously now running on nothing but gas. He weakly stood from the cold earth charging at the small Whismur yet again, refusing to give up.

"Ok you know what... Let me do this Yoshino." Yoshinon grabbed a pokeball and tossed it at the poochyena.
"If this doesn't work I won't trust you again!" Yoshino crossed her arms in nervousness.

One final glint of determination flashed through the Poochyenas eyes, could this mean something about his capturing? The ball connected before beginning to wiggle. Once, twice, a third time. Success, the Pokeball had stopped moving and Poochyena was successfully captured!

Personality: This young Poochyena is a strong fighter and very determined.

Yoshino let out a sigh of relief. "At least now it's safe! I'm sure he will be happy now. Kettei.. That's his name! Well I don't think you want to be cooped up in that pokeball now do you?" She sent out Kettei. He let out a bark and somewhat smiled and started wagging his tail. She put Odayaka back on her head and carried her new poochyena.
"He looks better. I wonder if it had something to do with catching him that snapped him out of whatever happened." Yoshinon thought for a second. "Well I hope it isn't common."
They continued on the misty path. They stopped to get to take a break by the river near the path. You could see the faint outline of waterfalls in the distance along with there crashing water.
"It's nice and cool on this route. It feels good right Kettei?" Yoshino smiled down at her poochyena. Ha barked in approval and licked her.

Along the river bank, trees began to sprout, getting thicker as the bank neared the water falls in the distance. There was a common break in the rhythmical sound of the flowing water, Magikarp, among other, less common fish, were swimming up river; it was probably spawning season for them. Among them what seemed to be a Marill began to swim towards Yoshino. It sprayed a small jet of water towards Yoshino, missing but still making its way towards the bank. It didnt really look like it was looking for a fight, but the Marill didnt disapprove of one either.

Personality: While this Pokemon tends to try its hardest, she has a hard time aiming her ranged attacks.
Gender: Female

"H...hey watch what your doing!!" Yoshinon shook his fist at the marill.
"Awww you are so adorable!!" She walked up to the marill and smiled. "If you want to fight then we can or if you want to.. you can just come along with us" she proposed. Kettei looked at marill in curiosity. He barked and wagged his tail in approval. Odayaka peeked from behind Yoshino's leg.

The marill looked at the group in confusion for a moment, as if making up her mind. After a bit of thinking it shot another bolt of water at the Yoshinon puppet, this time the blast of water was actually aimed at it, and not a few meters off to the side.

Yoshino quickly pulled Yoshinon to the side "Well I guess you want to fight then!" She nodded and stepped back. "Kettei I think you should do it this time!" She set down the poochyena and he barked. "Ok Kettei use Tackle and Howl!" He nodded and charged at the marill. He let out a howl that somehow gave him more energy and momentum.

The Marill skidded backwards, now slightly in the water. She jumped back to her feet and looked at Kettei stubbornly. The Marill popped back down onto the floor before starting to spin, head over heel. the Marill launched its body at Poochyena, gaining speed the farther she went.

"Kettei get out of the way!!" Yoshinon commanded. Kettei nodded but when he tried to dodge, his back legs were hit so he spun a little and fell sprawled out on the ground. He shook his head and jumped up, It was only a scratch to him.
"Ok use howl and tackle again!" Kettei ran at the marill howling.

The Marill easily dodged Kettei's tackles with the added speed she continued to gain from roll out. Marill swooped back around to try and hit the Poochyena again, the spinning gaining speed and power as she rolled.

"That's it! Kettei! Run in front of that tree. Dodge at the last second and use tackle!" Yoshinon thought quickly and commanded Poochyena. He ran up to the nearest tree. Marill came rolling at him and he dodged quickly this time.

Marill fell right into the trap, missing Poochyena and hitting the tree head on. She came out of the roll, dazed and laying on the floor. The Marill was blinking on the edge of unconsciousness.

Yoshinon quickly grabbed a pokeball and tossed it at the marill.
"I had fun with this fight! It wasn't scary or anything." Yoshino cheered as the pokeball was thrown.
